Are you a Senior Data Engineer who loves building scalable data platforms that power business decisions?
Join Camplight, where you’ll help design and build a modern cloud-native data platform that transforms complex data into a strategic asset. If you enjoy solving challenging engineering problems, building reliable data systems, and working with a highly autonomous team, we’d love to meet you.
What you’ll be working on?
We’re partnering with an ambitious company to build and scale the next generation of its Core Data Platform.
As the business continues to grow, so does the need for a robust, reliable, and scalable data ecosystem. You’ll help architect and implement the foundation that enables analytics, reporting, and product teams to confidently leverage data across the organization.
You’ll work with a modern data stack centered around Snowflake, dbt, Python, and cloud infrastructure, building production-grade pipelines that prioritize quality, observability, maintainability, and performance. This is an opportunity to influence the long-term architecture of a rapidly evolving data platform while collaborating closely with Tech Leads, analysts, and product teams.
Your Role
As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll take ownership of key parts of the data platform, from architecture and implementation through production support and continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing scalable and maintainable data models within Snowflake
- Building production-ready ELT pipelines using dbt
- Developing and maintaining workflow orchestration using Dagster or Apache Airflow
- Writing clean, reusable Python code for pipeline development, automation, and monitoring
- Optimizing SQL queries and warehouse performance
- Working with AWS and Azure cloud services to manage data infrastructure
- Contributing to infrastructure automation using Terraform where appropriate
- Performing code reviews and promoting engineering best practices across the team
- Collaborating directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
- Taking end-to-end ownership of features, documentation, testing, and deployment
This is a senior individual contributor role where you’ll be expected to operate independently, make architectural decisions, proactively identify improvements, and help raise the engineering standards of the team.
