Your Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll own some of the company’s most business-critical infrastructure.
You’ll collaborate closely with experienced engineers and product teams to design and implement backend services that are reliable, scalable, and maintainable. From designing data models and distributed workflows to improving system performance and experimenting with new approaches, you’ll have significant ownership over both technical direction and execution.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys tackling difficult engineering problems, communicates proactively, and takes pride in shipping high-quality software with minimal oversight.

Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong experience building backend systems using Python or another object-oriented language
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and scalable backend architecture
- Experience designing and maintaining cloud-native applications
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda and EC2
- Experience building asynchronous or event-driven systems
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
- Excellent system design, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently own projects from design through production
- Experience with LLMs or Generative AI applications
- Experience building data-intensive platforms
- Experience with distributed systems at scale

What does the interview process look like?
- Initial Interview: We’ll begin with a friendly 45-minute cultural and technical interview. Two members of our team will learn about your experience, engineering approach, and the challenges you’ve solved while giving you an opportunity to learn more about us.
- You can choose between two Technical Deep Dive options:
- Homework Assignment: We’ll provide a practical assignment designed to take approximately 2 hours, followed by a 1-hour discussion and technical deep dive.
- Pair Programming: Prefer a live session? Join us for a 2-hour collaborative technical interview focused primarily on pair programming.
