Are you a Platform Engineer passionate about building scalable infrastructure and enabling engineering teams to deliver great software?
Join Camplight, where your expertise will help shape reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure for innovative technology products. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of platform architecture, automate complex workflows, and build the foundations that enable engineering teams to move faster and deliver with confidence.
What you’ll be working on?
We’re embarking on an exciting product development project where robust infrastructure, automation, and efficient software delivery are essential to building and scaling modern applications.
The project involves designing and maintaining the cloud infrastructure, deployment workflows, and operational foundations that enable engineering teams to develop, deploy, and scale applications efficiently. You’ll help improve automation, observability, security, and reliability, ensuring the platform can evolve alongside the product and its users.
The goal is to create a dependable, scalable, and developer-friendly environment that supports rapid iteration without compromising performance, security, or operational excellence.
Your Role
You’ll take ownership of key platform engineering initiatives, working closely with the project team and another engineer from Camplight. Your responsibilities will span infrastructure design, automation, deployment processes, and the continuous improvement of the platform.
You’ll help establish engineering best practices, identify opportunities to reduce operational overhead, and build systems that make software delivery more predictable and efficient. We’re looking for someone who can think beyond individual tasks, understand the broader technical picture, and make pragmatic decisions that balance reliability, scalability, security, and development speed.
Your work will directly influence how the team builds, deploys, monitors, and maintains its software.

- Empowering relationships and the opportunity to engineer alongside colleagues who value growth, collaboration, and craftsmanship in a unique environment that blends service and product development.
- The opportunity to take ownership of meaningful technical decisions and make a tangible impact on the product.
What does the interview process look like?
- Initial Interview: We’ll start with a friendly 45-minute cultural and technical interview. Two members of our team will discuss your experience, engineering expertise, approach to problem-solving, and the challenges you’ve tackled. We’ll also explore your preferred working environment and what you’re looking for in your next role.
- Technical Deep Dive: If there’s a match, you can choose between two options:
- Homework Assignment: We’ll provide a practical assignment designed to take around two hours to complete. This will be followed by a one-hour technical interview to discuss your solution, explore your technical decisions, and dive deeper into platform engineering topics.
- Pair Programming: If you prefer not to complete a homework assignment, we’ll arrange a two-hour technical deep-dive session focused primarily on collaborative problem-solving and pair programming.
Regardless of the outcome, we’ll provide you with constructive feedback to help you grow.
